Nathaniel has lived and worked in Singapore since 1996. He is certified as a Member of the Business Continuity Institute (MBCI) and as Certified Business Continuity Planner (CBCP) by the Disaster Recovery Institute International. He has been President of the Singapore Computer Society’s Business Continuity Group, and President of the Asia Council of the International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM), a professional association that administers the worldwide Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) program.

His plenary talk, Water & Emergencies: The Impact of Thirst was one of the highest rated talks ever given at the World Conference on Disaster Management (WCDM) in 2010. Clips of that talk appear on YouTube.

Nisar Khan has 13 years of professional career, with 10 years of experience in managing Corporate Business Continuity programs at Regulatory,conventional and Islamic banks. Previously he functioned as a BC/DR Manager for a consultancy firm, delivering end-to-end BCM programs and training to leading companies. He is a dedicated ambassador of the discipline and has earned the following recognitions and is the first individual in the world to achieve these milestones in all three BCI 2012 Awards:

  • WINNER of the BCI MIDDLE EAST Awards 2013 as” BCM Personality of the Year”
  • WINNER of the First BCI MIDDLE EAST Awards 2012 as” BCM of the Year”

He is a frequent contributor at various forums pertaining to Business Continuity Management and a renounced speaker in regional BCM conferences.

In an interview with the Business Continuity Institute (BCI), Nisar recollects the BCI Middle East Awards 2013 as one of the proudest moments in his life a career.
